can you stick a photo of the tear up - often repairing it can be fairly straightforward (and certainly a lot cheaper!) here is an example: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/130618-refurbishing-yamaha-ns10m-pair.html (lots of good info on that forum btw)
