Cable-tie'd to the forks would look good.

Andy Matthews' Pompino from Flickr. WANT.
like that a lot, its what all bikes should look like after a few hard years in the city, seriously used looking. also I have special love for the raceface XY seatpost, my favourite (mtb) seatpost of all time, I have tracey moseleys XY post from the year she bust her ankle and a few others of various sizes and XY/XYO, bloody hell, I'm starting to sound like a funky seatpost collecting nerd, I need to get out more....
my free beater, made entirely from freecycle & my parts bin (the mostly busted but I don't want to throw it away just incase it might be needed, kind of parts bin).
took it bog snorkling/ cyclocross/ down my favourite bridleway descent and it did OK.
been used tirelessly since, absolutely filthy with road grime, more rust, scrapes and general nasty'ness, but its great, comfy, fun, anti-theft, free and functional. -

where's the back brake though?

Still in the parts box! the other side-pull was wrecked, I'd rather not have one than one that was about to disintegrate at any given moment (threads on central pivot bolt stripped).

Making a bike constantly downhill means it's a beater/frankenbike?

Saw this cruise up and park outside the office today.
LOVE THIS! Seat looks horribly uncomfortable though.

Beater. The paintwork is shite, but then there's chrome underneath, so it doesn't bother me.

I'd be a bit worried about leaving that locked up. I think it looks really nice!
