pedalling constantly becomes 2nd nature very soon if you ride it as your main bike for a while. don't try any serious hills up or down until you've had a few days aclimatisation. enjoy

Hey, I'm living in Bristol at the moment but (grades permitting) will be moving up to Landan for uni in September, so thought I'd join here.
I'm going to miss our hills so so much.

Ehup one and all.
Newby here, collecting my 3-posts. Been in London a while now down from hilly Sheffield. I miss hills, aren't any proper ones here. Me and a mate got pulled over on Eccesall Road by a cheeky policeman with tall tales of overtaking racers in the Peaks, asking us about gear ratios and trying to sell us some track frames... -

Hi, my names alex and from near oxford, i am a COMPLETE newbie to the fixie scene, i don't even have a fixie, or know if this is something i want to get into. It all looks pretty fun, checked out the local blog and saw the stuff people do, with polo, tricks, cruising and sliding. I hope to get a fixie soon. I know nothing about fixies though so i might make a couple of dumb/useless posts, sorry.

Hello hello!
A newbie to fixie riding, or a pre-newbie actually, because my bike is actually in the hands of UPS still.
The main reason why I'm finding myself addicted to fixieinfo/videos/forums...

hi newbie to fixed here !!I am in west wales and I am wondering if i should have my look columbus 853 frame converted to fixed ? it has chrome rear stays !!!!ouch on the wallet!!

No, search for magic gear. or get an eno hub.

Hi, as andy.w says, the eno hub is a great bit of kit and searching for a magic gear can be a hassle and easier to change the sprocket. I have used one on different road bikes for last couple of years. Think the hub is about £120. really solid bombproof bit of kit.

And road riding but not so new to cycling, officially a mountain biker but having just recently moved into a town in Suffolk I found bouncing to and from work on 140mm suspension wasn't what I wanted to do everyday, I had an idea of building a fixed gear road bike but due to space and time I ended up buying a Obea dude A10 and absolutely love it, the fixed wheel is taking some getting used to, so if you see a all the gear and no idea rider cruising the streets of bury st Edmunds or Cambridge that will be me :-)

Hi there.
David here.
Been cycling on and off over the years. Born and raised in East London. At the moment currently riding a specialized crossroad hybrid bike. Would love to go cycling a bit more than present.
Hi everyone, this makes my third post so I can escape the nursery and roam free!
