thanks Ed! I was trying to keep it as Japanese as possible hence the spec - except for the Simplex shifters as they are possibly the best in the biz and the Brooks, no comment. of course a TA crankset is a randonneur classic but I really like the 39-15/17 gearing with a straight chainline.
