I managed to hang on for a lap in the 68" gear on the Brompton in civvies with my bag - avg speed for the lap was over 22mph - maybe your lap 4, as I then eased off to trundle round with Sasmon; but then nearly caught up again, so that must've been your slow lap. Would've been good to be on the road bike, and be in a position to whip you into some decent rolling rotation shape, instead of the gross inefficiency I witnessed tonight ;)
At 24mph / 120rpm for protracted periods, when my bag shifted on my back, it sent a weird wobble down the Brompton 'stem', to the front wheel. Fun, fun, fun.
Nice catching up with Sasmon. His daughter made a good choice of frame finish :)
