Would have thought experience at herne hillł as more applicable.
We will also complete a number of practice Safety Drills, essential for public areas so we can meet the required Health & Safety objectives.
These "proving trials" will have the following focus:
Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm for Induction and Training and Competition.
Friday evenings from 6.30pm for Training.
Saturday mornings from 9.00am until 1.00pm for Induction and Training.
Sunday mornings from 9.00am until 11.00am for Training.Riders who wish to take part in any of these "proving trials" and who already have significant experience in riding at Calshot, Newport or Manchester Tracks; should contact us ( info@bournemouth.cc ) confirming the sessions you would be able to attend.
We will then notify you nearer the time to advise the specific dates of the proving trials. You will be asked to use both your own bike in addition to riding the BCC hire bikes. Unfortunately it may not be possible to accommodate all applicants wishing to be involved.

And the person who timed you?
You must have sorted a bike out then, well done. That outdoor 250 looks like a fast track, how does it ride?

leaf out of Lee and Dave's book, video analysis they call it!....open the video file in a decent editor and it has a time sequence built into the file, there are 25fps so it's accurate to 0.04 seconds (possibly more accurate than a handheld stopwatch?).....haha!
first league race on Wednesday.....reckon I can get down to 13, I was in SPD shoes with an 86" gear....the slowest qualifying times from 2009 Sprinter's Cup was a 12.04, Nimke did an 11.58 and Forstermann a 10.99....if the turnout is low this year (say 16) I might be up against one of them!....haha....in reality all the juniors are gonna trash me on Weds.....but I might enter the sprinter cup for a laugh and maybe take the rigs along.
It's a bit bumpy, but you don't really notice, better than many in the UK at least, concrete is a confidence inspiring surface on a 250m track, (it's amazing how slow you can go on the bends) given this the banking could be a bit steeper, imagine sprinters might find it hard coming over the top, apparently its 38.18 degrees...nice profile out of the bends, good slingshot despite the straights being relatively steep, at least compared to this new Bournemouth track....from what I've seen from pics.

Looks great. I did my first ever race at what I think was called Bournemouth and Poole cycle track, back in about 1989, as a juvenile. It wasnt a banked track, and it was on road bikes. There was some coaching as well. A good day, although the race was the devil, and I had no idea that everyone would sprint off from the start. I had just about got my shoes in my toe clips when the pack lapped me.
Would be nice to have a go on this one. -
