meow01 sold me some pretty obviously bent forks last weekend.
BUT
he was nice about it when i showed him the damage and gave me my money back no questions asked.
so why mentioned it here then?
how can it be bad when he saw the damage and gave you your money back without argument? surely that's a trait of a good trader?

I have bought and sold many items on the forum .If i have had any queries regarding the description or quality of an item I have always {2 cases ever in almost 3 years} refunded in full. I feel this is grossly unfair to describe me as a bad trader, Seeing that when you contacted me i met you within the hour and refunded you in full.

I traded 2 sugino 103 bottom brackets with Arooogah on the pretext that I would buy him beer as compensation.... then I left the country
:(
Could be the longest settling of debt in forum history... but its coming.

-
• #1337
No but I was trading with him and he was bad....
Is there a bad buyers/ timewasters thread?
-
• #1338
No. There are only bad sellers.
-
• #1339
haha - just like Ebay.
-
• #1340
haha - just like Ebay.
no - on ebay you get same feedback as a seller - good or bad
-
• #1341
On Ebay a seller can only leave a buyer "Positive" or "Leave feedback later". The days of outting timewasting pain in the arse scum are over....

Razuuu-one stitched me up, this a PM i sent to him to sum it all up but he didn't even reply.

what do you mean? can you not post it?
well, it's a hassle, and to be honest a local buyers turned up. But don't get me wrong I was 100% committed to selling to you, It's just with my friend not being able to bring the frame over. And now I can just sell it locally and not go through the whole bank transfer and postage hassle
The thing i dont understand about this being a hassle is that you advertised it to be posted originally which i was fine with, you also asked specifically for a bank transfer again i was also aware of this when i PM'd you.
On another note as far as i am concerned this would surgest that we had agreed the sale over 6 days ago:
ok cool i will take it. will you take paypall?
sorry mate, I dont have paypal. You'll need to do a bank transfere. If thats cool, pm me your adress and ill pm you the bank details
cheers, Tito
As a result of this "assumption of sale" i have subsequently bought most of the other parts for the build and buy not selling it to me you have sort of stitched me up.
As it says in the rules section "No fishing expeditions. You are either selling something or you're not."
In conclusion i think that its only fair that this frame is sold to me and not to some one who is more convenient to you.
Nothings 'sold' until the money is in the hands of the seller. This is a forum for privite sales, your bound to get messed around one way or another, I know this from experience - I personally do not expect a 'shop' experience.

whatever man i feel cheated.

^^ so true and you know it. even though sometimes you get told the money is on its way, you can never be sure.

• #1346
HONESTY
would be nice, not this crap about 'when the money is in the hands of the seller' or 'when the product is in the hands of the buyer'

Not the sort of thing I enjoy doing but I need to express my opinion about some recent events. Seller involved - Chegas.
Frankly this feels odd because I have never dealt with Chegas (nor do I wish to do so tbf...), but I was left in charge (at a friend's request), of 'solving' the absolutely unbelievable fuck-up that mentioned Sir, put him through.So... my friend (in portugal), registered to the Forum in order to buy a frame off Chegas.
So far so good (even though Chegas seems to only come here to sell, no donations, no posting, no input, sort of another ebay seller around here..).
Said frame was a CELLO, one of the K(N)JS, white, used, reasonable good condition, that was posted for sale as frame & fork.
My friend bought it, paid for it and obviously had it shipped to Portugal... with no forks.
When questioned by my friend, Chegas answer was beyond anything one could expect from a place like this... in a nut shell, my friend was told by Chegas, to chill out about the forks because since the frame was worth more than 1000quid alone, he shouldn't complaint or claim that he had paid a lot of money for the frame and on.. because he really hadn't. He wouldn't get the forks because none of his friends were willing to help. Nor would he send him new forks.
And since Chegas was leaving to S.Korea, unless he traveled to London to see his friend.... "I dont think you will get it..." ..Question:
- Are you serious?!
So, because I was the one chasing Chegas friend around, to whom I need to send my biggest appreciation for being cool and not letting the situation go off hand, I feel that I have all the right to bring this out. Particularly because you showed no interest in solving your own shit.
Chegas buddy, AFAIC you wouldn't sell anything else here after this.
Really.bad.form!
This isn't your fucking private blog dude, your friends are not your fucking maids,
when questioned about missing parts of something you sold, please show some appreciation for the
fact you sell your frames here, without being charged, or paying/contributing anything.
It's the least.*I'm PMing you this, so you know.
- Are you serious?!

Yeah, what Nuno (nuknow) said is the absolute truth.
I'm the one that bought the frame from Luke (Chegas), and if it hadn't been for (especially) Nuno and Alan (Luke's friend - please see this, and help him out if you know anything - http://www.lfgss.com/post2136041-6044.html) I probably wouldn't see the forks ever again. This whole situation was going on since 9th March 2011, and got solved the past friday (6th May 2011).
I'm still in contact with Luke to see if I can get the shipping money of the forks to Portugal. I hope he can redeem himself. He said that would refund me. Let's see...
Once again I want to express my gratitude towards Nuno and Alan.
Thank you guys!!!Just to make one thing clear. Luke did not send me the frame without any forks. The frame was sent with a Colnago fork. The fork that wasn't sent was the original one.
Luke just refunded me postage cost of the forks to Portugal. This whole situation is finally come to an end.
He proven himself as someone who can keep is promises. -

The first half of his post above is fair enough (if legit). If he's in S.Korea and genuinely can't get the forks himself then what can he do?
Well, here's where the second half is so shit. He could get a replacement fork seeing as that is what Krieg paid for. Either that or a partial refund.

don't sell what you don't have, as far as I'm aware, he sold the bike as frame and forks, if thats what you sold thats what the buyer should get. If not, do not sell it as such..
