Get one of Scott not Scot's if you can - they're amazing.
intriguing, will need to hassle him for more info :) thanks for the tip!
that looks pretty awesome. do you find that it affects the bike's handling or balance at all?
not really. I couldn't off curbs in the same way (it was like one wheel at a time as opposed to one jump and one landing) and when I was walking with my bike or picking it up, I had to remember the weight was different and treat it accordingly. But when actually riding I can't say that I noticed it. I don't think I'd use it in the city when weaving although I think it would be fine, I'd just rather not. I think overall it was pure perfection, especially for country side journeys.
Main thing is that it can hold a LOT. And probably if what you're carrying is super heavy will affect it more but with what I carried (above) was fine.
Fantastic flickr set there, nelaii (long time lurker, who looks on all the ride reports from afar with a fair helping of envy). That Hetchins near the end is wicked - whose bike, that one?
That last one? Wasn't part of our group. Alpine Kate had quite a long chat with the owner, I remember hearing her (the owner) saying that her husband ran a website for old bikes but I forget what it was. Sure someone else here remembers? (think it might be in the thread somewhere as well)
