  • £60, fuck that.

  • Carbon and bamboo? I shall look forward to being impaled on broken shafts

  • Hehehe, not quite what I meant

  • 'You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to gabes again'

  • ha!

  • Wow, surely the cheater hating community isn't going to like that, it's even more cheater than an ECM

  • I knew it. Bamboo is the future.

  • standardisation.

  • in a sport that have "just" born, where people keep invovation everyday.... not thanks.

  • There will be inovation within standardised equipment (lighter, stiffer, more durable etc etc), coming up with designs more and more diluted from the original idea is not productive.

  • I knew it. Bamboo is the future.

    Treefrog^

  • That's nothing like an ECM. It looks like it would be pretty awkward to do anything with the side of the mallet, and balls coming into it (shots or passes) would be pretty unpredictable, I imagine.

  • ...balls coming into it (shots or passes) would be pretty unpredictable, I imagine.

    So, just like an ECM then.

  • yeah, stupid cheaters.

  • Vancouver cheater mallet.

  • Also useful for mashing potato.

  • Proprietary pole system = bad idea, imo. Unless they're very cheap.

  • potato ricers are amazing, I have always thought it would be useful to incorporate one into a mallet head.

  • Looks like a hamster carrier...

  • I think any angles in drill/mould holes are a bad idea as stress always focusses there. The triangle-hole head I made cracked at the corners. Round holes are much better. I can see those hex holes cracking pretty quickly.

  • i don't understand the re-enforced base..

  • if you hit the floor on shots... it wears away really quickly, hence the need for more material (or a better swing).

    Proprietary = no.
    Over engineered = expensive = no.
    Fugly = no.

    Max here (the guy from the video). So to answer your question…
    1) No the initial head will not be shorter. We do plan to make several versions once we start getting more feedback from players. To get started we simply had to pick the most common size and go from there!
    2)Yes, you will be able to use other shafts to attach to this head (although our shafts are awesome so we dont know why you would want to
    3) I should have the first run of prototypes ready late may/early June and will make sure to send you a couple.
