the S3X hub got replaced with just a single fixed wheel. the rear brake is all ready to go just needs the cable to be attached. Its a lovely set of mafac cantilever brakes with matching drillium levers. The rear wheel is a french track wheel and I didnt want to damage it with a brake marks.
So it has, first picture threw me off as the left lever didn't have a cable.

Mercian Professional track project ready for the velodrome. It's a 1967 frame, resprayed at Venom Cycles in the 90s. Thought I'd post it since I found some of the parts here. A few more pics at Velospace.

About 6'4 by the looks of it with a very inflexible back.

My housemate was riding the other day and the pedal came off revealing it to be deliciously cross-threaded, after faffing about getting the crank bolt out I cross threaded the crank trying to use a crank extractor. Cue swearing and smashing and boiling water and now all new (to me) cranks and pedals.
Soon front brakes and dual brake lever.

My first fixed gear...phew. Manage to get a cinelli gazzetta for under £200 in great nick...then ran out of funds so half the components is like wearing trainers with a suit! I like it though!

it would be a great looking bike if you got some foot retention, raised your seatpost a bit and corrected your saddle angle.

Yehhh that was before I re-adjusted the seatpost angle and height :) Will need some straps though :( need to get paid so I can completely finish it off.
