Nah I don't like them either. The crown looks like half a Bialetti. And missing out 12, 3, 6 and 9 makes the rest of the numbers look like they're spaced incorrectly. And the typeface is awful. And the hands are quaint and curvy whilst the rest of the design is quite angular.
Saw a Poljot Strela at a car boot sale today, identical to the one below. He wanted 220 for it, but I'm not in a position to buy a new watch at the moment

There's 2 on ebay right now. Nothing to do with me.
Nicely understated, and so are the prices. I can see a little collection starting, I have one I bought from MrSmyth and it's a mechanical joy.

I've just made an offer on one of them

Excellent. All I ask is a 30% finder's fee and access to the watch 3 weekends in 4.

i'm open to that idea if I get access to one of your coffee machines in exchange?

Funny you should say that, got another NS Oscar with its guts out in the toolshed. Not sure what to do with it when it's finished....

Tell me more? Possibly in the coffee thread so as not to mess up the watch thread.

Needs a few parts which are proving tricky to track down, but could crack on with it if someone were to offer, say, an Oris date pointer for it.

Same ex?

Nope, most she ever bought me was an alarm clock and some headphones from duty free after she'd been on a training trip to New York.
Must have been an interesting introduction to the company for her- given how many people she managed to sleep with when she was out there for a week.

The best thing about 24h watches is that you can see exactly how much of your day you've wasted.
My friend had a modern Russian 24h 'pilots' watch but it fell apart after a couple of months. Perhaps a Raketa would be better made.
Just seen these pilot watches on another forum, really like the designs of the faces but on the fence with their logo...
