Quick check for my own benefit says the ferry is £10 each way and flexible, but on the way out i think we should aim for the 15:15 to arrive at the campsite with some daylight. So train at 13:00?
Train price seems to be the same from Victoria or Waterloo. There are very cheap £5 single fares available in advance to Portsmouth, but the single fare back to London is a flat £28. The best bet looks to be some groupsave action on the day which should work out £17 each rtn.
