i'm off to check out St. Ali, roaster / cafe from Melbourne (on Clerkenwell Rd). Looks like they had alot of money to spend on the place — they even have a Slayer

grabbed a flat white, was a bit 'meh', microfoam not supersilky, espresso a bit thin. But, they have just opened and things will take a while to bed in, be interesting to see what roasts they do [they are roasting on site]
Not down with the current vogue to use less punchy roasts for milk based drinks, bean noticing this a lot recently, if I get a flat white I still want a good hit of dark, roasty coffeeness,
