I think it might be something about being around so many cyclists in lycra for so long that it no longer becomes titillating to see all the different shapes. I find someone not dressed up for cycling/running/swimming more attractive. I find it surprising when people point out certain stuff that I wouldn't even think of in that way - big arse = big power etc.
Obviously there's the bonus that a sportsperson is going to be more attractive (imo) because of the definition in shape...
