  • Does anyone have any experience with repairing scratched or battered Sidis?

I have some SIDI Ergo 2 Carbon Lite Vernices that are almost new, but yesterday I clipped a curb with my left foot and it’s left a pretty nasty scrape in the material of the shoe on the outside of the shoe just under the Velcro strap. It’s not so bad that it’s torn through to the inside, but enough that the soft inner portion of the material is showing. Aside from being a bit ugly, I figure this is going to cause a problem the next time the shoe gets wet.

I've tried to find some official Sidi contact details, but for the UK all I can find are bigbear.co.uk, who I guess are dealers/distributors. I've e-mailed them and am waiting for a response. I'm not banking on Sidi helping me out though.

Anyone have any ideas on the best way to patch these up? I was thinking maybe fill the scratch with superglue or a resin or some kind, try and sand it a bit so it's all blended and sealed? I seem to be having trouble Googling for decent advice. I thought it would be fairly common because the damage is pretty much what you'd expect if you'd fallen from the bike and scraped the shoe on the ground (same area that'd be hit too) and figure this must happen a fair bit. No dice though.
