He's modelling himself on you this season.

tough shit, Thor. sitting on Fabian's arse will only get you so far.
-
• #233
He had one job to do whilst Vansummeren was away, nullify the Cancellara threat. So where the fuck was he when Cancellara went off in pursuit?
-
• #234
floundering like a norse longship on the rocks?
-
• #235
mincing about in his rainbow jersey praying for a sprint finish?
-
• #236
Thorry, my arth ith a bit thor.

• #237
wish they had the car radio working when Fabian was giving JV some verbals.
-
• #238
Yeah. don't fuck with the Sparticus, Sideburn-Jockey.

Garmin's tactics were spot on. Cancellara can moan all he like, but both Ballan and Hushovd had teammates up the road so the onus was on Swiss Tony to bridge the gap.

Impressive for JVS to maintain the gap while riding with a puncture for the last 5k.

• #242
three world champions trying not to make eye contact was hilarious

He didn't win the sprint either.

yeah i read that! impressive. if that info had got to all riders, cancellara or someone might've pushed harder earlier

blown away like everyone else. when FC went for it one that one corner, he totally dropped the rest of that group in a flash. seemed like a few pedal strokes and they were shrinking in te back of the picture. then he ate up the remaining poursuivants in short order too
Cancellara, extraordinary!
+1
i was wanting thor to win until i realised vansummeren had a very real chance*, but fair play to FC. i don't like to see a breakaway caught too close to the finish unless i've a strong preference for the chasing bloke, it's heartbreaking -

Fabian hasn't won either ronde or roubaix but he's come across as the strongest rider in both...got to give him credit where credit is due

agreed, but it seems like today he (or his director) messed up a bit tactically. it's hard to say, and you can see how he felt isolated and didn't want to work for Hrushovd, but 1km earlier if he's sprung out of that group just as easily...

"Swiss Toni" - lolz. He's a cock, like everyone else in that team.
Riding like a gladiator is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman: you've got to put your foot down; refuse to do all the work; not let her suck you from behind; blow her apart by strongly going off at the front; etc.

I wish he would shut up the arrogant twat
Cancellara saved his honour as supreme favourite by finishing second. "Everybody raced against me. The victory was not possible. This second place is like the victory to me. Today, I lost, but the others lost a bit more than me," he concluded.
