the SRAM imotion9 will do the trick too..
there's one for sale here:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread62891.html#post2072324
£170 for whole wheel and shifter etc, absolute bargain.
However its disc only rim, so you'd either have to rebuild or get a pompetamine

Yeah saw that, really nice.
Are there no 'cheap' options then?
How about the SRAM T3 or the iMotion T3?EDIT: Might go for this, but unsure what he means about the bracket preventing back pedal breaking?

I assume he means it's not a coaster brake.
-
• #4730
And therefore good for polo right?
-
• #4731
coaster brake = NOT good for polo IMHO
-
• #4732
Wicksie that seven spd might go for a good price, i had one off there for about 50quid i think.
Im not sure but i think you can remove the coaster brake, hassan?
-
• #4733
Ah nice, was thinking around that amount. Defo no coaster for polo but it does sound as though he's saying that it's not, but it also sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about. Be good to know you if you can remove it.
Thanks guys. -
• #4734
as far as i'm aware you can't remove a coaster brake from a hub, as they are integrated into the hub's internal assembly. drum/roller brakes, however, are usually removeable.
wicksie - maybe ask the ebay seller to send you a pic of the non-drive side of the hub? or ask him for the part number which should be written on the center of the hub shell?
-
• #4735
So you can get some shimano 7 speeds that are drum/roller brakes that you remove and work with v brakes?
I've sent him an email. Thanks again Hassan! -
• #4736
With a coaster brake could you just not attach the little guy to the chainstay?
-
• #4737
And hope that it doesn't ruin your paint. I guess you could bend it away enough but I don't think you can remove the arm
-
• #4738
It's a Nexus inter 7 Shimano SG 7R41.
Which is for a roller brake right, so polo a go-go?I assume roller brakes are no good then, and I can add a shifter behind double levers?
