I saw the hospitality rates the other day... £4.5k per ticket, and the cycling events are all sold out of hospitality tickets already.
Wow.
Now sure, those tickets include a 3-course meal, but you can see why they're limiting public tickets... the money they're getting from hospitality is paying for nearly everything. Public ticketing is probably just enough to keep the masses from revolting (considering how much we've actually bank-rolled it through taxation).
