I went to see Klaus Bondham(?) Copenhagen Mayor talk at the town hall a couple of years ago. He did his presentation, answered a couple of questions, showed film
Copenhagen City of Cyclists, said that everyone there who didn't should start cycling but then stupidly said "but it is quite hilly here". You could feel the mass sigh of relief as most the audience left to go back to their cars having been let off the hook by those few words. I wanted to punch him.

Not forgetting the *Barr*s - Perry and Great.... FTTDN - Barr is Hill in ye olde speak.

Its a darker burgundy in real life. Mixte's are supposed to be good for touring as all the extra tubes makes the back end stiffer.

You can often just attach it to the brake bolt with a sturdy reflector mount. Quite an old school bodge though.

Thats the bodge I'm trying to replace...

To be honest, I doubt those new bits will be much sturdier than the existing setup. You should get a better rack that fits directly onto the rack mounts.

For Sale: Rear Black Velocity B43 laced with silver ACI DB spokes to black Planet-X Pista track hub (double fixed). In reasonable condition except for some brake rub. I ran this on my new pompino build for a few weeks (with the rear brake loosened off) but the pads rubbed a little.

Comes with a couple of long valve tubes (needs at least a 60mm tube). I might be able to throw in a 16t sprocket and lock ring but will have to check.

Asking £50ono collected from Leamington, or I could bring it to Brum possibly, though probably not for a week or so...
