• Sorry, accidental, but i found my drunk friend in here and needed to drag him out.

  • Great to meet you all. I learnt a lot (good condiment etiquette, what to shout at a safety-conscious fixie-not-so-skidder, that some people can make gun noises and some people ... just can't)

+1 to a group ride before too long. Windsor would great, or maybe out into Kent if we can face a few hills...?

  • Sorry, accidental, but i found my drunk friend in here and needed to drag him out.

I wasn't drunk when I came in here... merely misplaced.

anyways I'm only here to recruit for the fubu dash.

  • who wears FUBU anymore? and you are white, so by definition I don't think you can...

  • You lot are crazy :-)

Yes please to a Windsor ride in June AND to name badges. Not that I'll remember names anyway, the memory cells no longer work as well as before.

  • Cool. I'll set up a Windsor Ride thread at the weekend, how about Sun 26th Jun. Should have my new ride by then, yay!

  • Sounds good to me. It's the weekend I get back from riding to Denmark, so if there are no accidents I'll be in (probably with a sore derriere...).

Although that's forever away. Possibly more lady drinks before that?

  • hey ladies, I'd love to join in on the rides whenever I'm working down in London. I'm organising Ladies Drinks and alternate Sunday Ladies Rides in Birmingham all the time now so please drop me a pm if you're about!

  • Woo hoo! Date now in the diary.

  • @LongAndWinding - YAY for Windsor 26th June, that'd be great.

@ jayloo and mortari - I think I'm out for the Cambridge ride as it's just too early a morning after a friends birthday bash the night before... :-(

but I'm totally up for a loop ride (or another day to Cambridge) as a warm up to longer (and hillier) rides to come... just please no start times before 10am!

  • Well, with a shorter ride, starting later is fine! We just thought it's nicer to get an earlier start than the traffic. Maybe a night ride? Who's in when the nights aren't cold?

  • Nothing sooner?
June is out for me with B'days, In-laws and Australian friends visiting.

  • Ok, I've been asked to merge the ladies drinks threads into one, then I can just change the title when we organise the next one - anyone got a better idea?

  • Good idea ... can you have something other than "Ladies Drink Up" ... it sounds like a 'Last Orders' call!

  • Ok, nerged - changed title to 'Ladies Drinks' for the moment until we decide the date and location of the next one.

  • sweet, C.

and Joni, definitely earlier, just thinking also a night ride would be nice! Has there been a thread made yet? I looked earlier but didn't see anything obvious.

Ack, I know what you mean. 8am? I don't even get up that early on a weekday. Will see if I can heave myself out of bed with the promise of lovely cycle and beer.

Sad face that you're not coming, but maybe see you at the next ladies drinks. :)

  • I'd be interest in night rides, but from June onwards as I have some races to participate (road running) in May.

  • I'd like to do a night ride this year, as I'm missing out on Dunwich.

  • Meeee, toooooo! For a most excellent reason! <3 Socks & Jim!

  • Sounds awesome! Do we need a rides thread?
Do not haz the cash to get an epic night ride front light though. I understand this is mandatory?
Mine has a ' candle output of up to 400'. wtf does this mean? I thought light was measured in lumens, not candles...

  • I know it's not Ladies but I'll be doing the marathon route night ride and I won't know anybody! Anyone in?

  • I'll be there and bringing some non forum girls as well.

mandatory? eh? we use knogs (4 LED) and have never been told we have inadequate lumination! candle power is another measure.

  • If you're riding in a group, its not too much of an issue - there will be a few people with big lights, so that will be fine.
