Shimano cranks are awesome beyond belief and the shifters used with cables coming out the side are still the best, save for Di2. I love their stuff.

SRAM is partly owned by Lance Armstrong so can fuck right off as far as I'm concerned (along with Trek and Nike).

Campag Chorus has served me well for 20 years and is fucking brilliant.
