I met a lady who toured SEA in the late 90's, she would buy the cheapest bike she could find, ride till it breaks down, buy the cheapest replacement and then give the knackered one away. Sounds fun, but at the same time silly. She came into our shop looking for a replacement before her final leg into Singapore, the previous bike was bought in Penang, an old postman-like bike.
