Had one this morning, coming down the slope towards the Tower Hotel, turning left at speed - see a young woman about to cross (not looking) ding my bell. She has a deer in headlights moment looks straight at me and runs into my path, I jam my front brake on only for it to slip, as I obviously hadn't tightened it enough when I replaced it the other day..I clatter into her.
Amazing we both remained upright and intact, she apologised - we both checked each other was ok, and went on our way. Rather civilised really.
One of those mornings, as earlier I had got a front puncture, waiting at lights - WTF?!
