  • Hey thanks,
I tried looking on sheldon brown... I'm still not sure. The frame is a Carlton from the 70's or 80's and the fork is a dave yates one that came to me with it. The brake reach is different on the fork and frame and the tyre clearances are different too. I tried the wkeels from my crosser.

I'm not sure when builders stopped building for 27" wheels, but obviously since the frame and fork are mismatched then brake reach could be different anyway due to the differing designs of the frames.

Either try and find a matching fork for the frame, or just use the bike with 2 wheels of the same size - obviously 700c is much more common and easier to find tires and tubes for etc..
