  • Clarify full?

  • The stuff described in your quoted section - pinch-zoom, trimming videos, etc etc etc.

  • I haven't tested it out yet. Plus I use M.Opera which already has a zoom if you touch the area :P

  • And two apps. Neoreader and Postcard apps that came with the update :|

  • Cheers for that.

In other news, one has to give credit where credit is due, but the iPad 2 is by far, the most impressive 2nd generation tablet there is, substantially faster than the Motorola Xoom. In fact, upon seeing what the iPad 2 was capable of, Samsung promptly reviewed production of its 2nd gen tablet, as it knew it would not compete; and went back to the drawing board, to create an iPad 2 beater.....if not in performance (unlikely), then on price.

  • anyone using bike hub app?

  • I got a Desire on Tuesday :) Battery life sucks, but enjoying it far more than my old iPhone 3G.

  • Battery life doesn't suck.. it just does far more than any other phone. #realist

  • For roguelike fans Dweller is really good, If a bit short but it's only in Beta.

  • does anyone know if it's possible to have two different keyboards? one for landscape and one for portrait? swype is brilliant for portait but sucks in landscape, where i would much prefer a regular two-thumbed keyboard

Although this does have some well advertised downsides, with getting android updates...

  • yeah, that or the Desire Z, but i've already got a Desire (which i really like) and so not really looking to get new hardware. I'm just hoping that there is a UI or some app that will allow for a keyboard preference in relation to orientation of the phone.

  • So my Desire has just started going boringly wobbly. Won't connect to the network unless it wants to, drops calls, divert all call to voicemail unless it wants to.... Vodafone just shrug their shoulders and reckon they should exchange the phone for me! Hey Ho.

    • update * Tried a factory reset as a last ditch attempt.... no improvement, and none of my 'settings' available on the SD card - despite me following the instructions (makes a change I know). No chance to boot up old settings despite what the instruction book says.... looks like the chance to talk to those nice people in Newcastle this morning. Hey Ho x2.
  • Vodafone U turn on swapping out the phone - the Desire's are "repair only" (!?) they don't have any spare ones to swap out so if I want it fixed it'll be a week.... when y'day I was told that it wouldn't be a problem. Very unpleasant woman on the phone.

    Grrr.....

  • Call again and speak to someone else? I have a Samsung Galaxy sitting in a drawer you could borrow if you need a loan phone. It's slow but it's running 2.2 custom rom.

    Grrr.....

They said this to me- I read some of the sales of goods act to them and they decided to send a courier out with a new handset.

They use the "well you'll be without your handset for one to two weeks" thing as a bargaining chip to flog you handset insurance.

  • Angry Birds Rio is out!

Disregard. Amazon appstore only open in the US.

  • I bought Angry Birds for my Mac yesterday... Oooops! blushes
    #justonemoregame

  • Anyone having problems trying to download a book for their phone? I keep getting it's not available for Europeans, then I go to the UK site and it says not available for UK.
:/ this is on my phone..

  • My phone completely discharged its battery in under three hours this morning... It's gone all mental, mental, chicken oriental... Dying battery? It is almost 18mths old...

And any word on the new dual core phones? I'm looking at Ashe...

  • The LG Optimus 2X will be available on more than one network, and surprisingly, the Motorola Atrix has been picked up officially too. The Optimus 2X seems to have some issues with its software, so don't buy it till its released and tested, as the software issues may be solved by then......but I'm doubtful. Both phones should be here in the UK within the next one to two months. Maybe much sooner.

Don't know if you will be interested in the Playstation games library, but the Tegra 2 (CPU) phones seem to be setting a standard. But I'm not convinced how important that is, as the real SE Playstation phone is a single core phone, and all games from Sony will be optimized for that.

I'm thinking of getting the Xperia Arc, as it fits my criteria, and then getting a dual or quad core phone next year. I'm leaving T-Mobile and migrating to 3. T-Mobile won't continue my 10GB internet allowance so f*ck em.

  • I'm dying to leave Vodafone, charging me £8 VAT on top of my bill. Pfft. Roll on September pretty quick please.
