Hated FarCry 2. Supposedly open-world game with invisible walls to stop you climbing mountains, forcing you through constantly respawning checkpoints that you'd cleared only two minutes earlier.
That and all the locals shooting you on sight, simply because you're white. Racists.

You played Eddie, didn't you?
No I played Jin, my mate wanted to get some beers and he passed me a controller and said ... "have a go if you want" ... all those years of Street Fighter 2 didn't go to waste.

I only have Xbox 360 at the moment. And no arcade controller.
Can't play any fighting games (Fight Night being the sole exception) with the Xbox controller without experiencing pain. Something about the button placement and feel that causes it.
It just ain't right not have a decent D-pad ... then again I steer in Gran Turismo using the D-pad and accelerate using the right analogue stick (odd I know).

if you're a fan or zombies and/or frustratingly simple but deceptively difficult indie i heartily recommend:
ZOMBIE ATOM SMASHER.which is the reason i am thoroughly bleary eyed after discovering on steam last night.

I used to love playing Morrowind and Oblivion. I quit them for a long time, got sucked in with Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and played the hell out of them.
Got a bit tired of Fallout New Vegas and returned to Fallout 3 and I'm pretty sure I prefer that one. New Vegas is fun and quite cool, I just liked the ruined city and desperate landscapes of Fallout 3 more. Maybe it's because I lived in Nevada and the post-apocalyptic version isn't that much more interesting.
I recently returned to Oblivion and have been messing about in it, but it's not really doing it for me anymore. I actually think Morrowind is more interesting and will probably give that a go again soon.
Never played Morrowind. Is it worth gettign hold of a copy? How does it compare to Oblivion (which I loved). Will it keep me going until Skyrim?

I think I have the whole morrowind set (all the expansion packs) sitting under my bed unplayed ... never got into it and I don't think it is really my thing. If you want I will post it to you, rather someone got some enjoyment out of it. Give me a PM if you are interested.

Looks like that nemesis bad guy in Resident Evil 3. Nice to see he's off enjoying a relaxing summer holiday.

Just got my mitts on THIS:
It is so fucking good. But difficult too. Been playing the series since Shogun 1, but still got my ass handed to me. First impression is it's way better than Empire, which was slightly disappointing. -

The graphics are pretty dated and the gameplay is different, it´s more RPG then Oblivion; you will miss a lot with bows and swords and spells can fail etc. But the story and the world were far more interesting and on a much grander scale.
If you play it on a PC there are mods that can help with the graphics etc. I recommend giving it a go, especially if you take Lucas up on his offer.

Downloaded the Shogun 2 demo via steam the other day. I wonder if it's just the demo or if my graphics card isn't up to scratch but I was decidedly unimpressed. I thought visually it looked really weak, it was buggy and it was also very sluggish where other far more demanding things run like clockwork. I'm going to try it on a different machine and see if it plays the same way. Bit disappointing as I've very much been looking forward to it.
Still optimistic about Deus Ex: Human Revolution. August seems a long way off though.

I am loving fallout NV, it's like a huge playground that actually make it hard for you to cross desert without the right levels and weapon, as of now I'm doing the old weapon factory to investigated the outbreak of ghoul.
-
• #2622
yes i was enjoying NV till the 3rld knocked out the xbox. Was on the point of getting into the Strip. (Look out for the Robots Ed the ghouls are ok)
So with no xbox my limited gaming time is spent RPGing with Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance on PS2. Mindless hack slash loot 'n level up

I recently played Morrowind a little again, as I discovered this:
http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/
It's a group of volunteers who are designing the areas outside of Vvardenfell, the setting of Morrowind. There are few quests, but some nice new things and some interesting new places.

Anyone seem the TV ad for Homefront out at the moment? The guy firing the bazooka is the spit of Bradley Wiggins.
I get all my weapons repaired by the NCR troopers at the Mojave Outpost, or by my battle-brother at my secret hideout, depending where I am. It costs a fortune, but we are talking gauss and anti-material rifles here.
