Probably not what you'd call a project, but i've just set up my Raleigh Record Ace (read: probable beater) as a single speed.
Excuse a bit of a chack slain, and the wrong inner tube valves.

Unless you weighed over 90kg, then it was STX, if you wanted SLX in the first place.
Which was only 'top of the line' of that line of that specific purpose Columbus tubing for light people for a period of time, a long time ago.
Should have just put +1
Ok thanks for that, so it was pretty good about 25 years ago? Marvellous. Just wondering why it isn't panto'd as Ciocc, and doesn't have the club/clover thing cut out on the bb shell? Maybe I should just ustf and stop asking boring questions.

Rims are 20h front / 24h rear. I used alloy track hubs
But which alloy hubs? unless alloy is a brand name I haven't heard of, I'd actually be interested as I was thinking of building up some of those wheels myself. PM me if you must keep the secrecy up

Bearly man, how did it happen??
On another note, I've just dropped the Brooklyn Gangsta off to a framebuilder in Deptford to get cantis mount done, after much discussion we were toying with the idea of getting integrated rack on the Gangsta just to carry pannier a la Rob English (the stem have been flipped the right way round... hater);
Why not buy something like this...

I love the fact I got neg-repped for simply having the notion of an integrated rear rack.
It seems like a bit of a waste of money, and I'm still not 100% what the point is when you've already got a bike, and a trailer for carrying lots of things. Plus I thought you said your commute was only 10mins now. How much stuff do you really need to take to work?
Who says that it's my commute bike?
I have a road bike, an utility bike, a heavy duty touring bike and the fixed wheel bike.
my utility bike is my everyday bike, but I tend to ride the fixed wheel bike every now and then, I though it be useful to have a lightweight integrated rack for time I fancy taking a couple day off riding into the countryside, a la light touring.
I'm still chuckling about getting negged for the idea of a rack on a Gangsta.

Hah! that's an awesome ad.
I might as well ride my dad's bike then;

if you like that, there was an OMGjizzLORD advert about the 242 GT turbo (US spec, 1982-4) which had it in the garage, then reving a bit, then leaving the garage. was a tv commerical, saw it once on youtube before copywrite brigade took it down. humour was in a similar key.

you bought a gansta to ride "now and then" (as you put it)?
Fuck me, I wish i could afford to spend that much on a bike i never ride.

Fox, looks nice but needs period bars, those anatomic/ergo drops don't look quite right.
Wait until he sticks the white and red chain on it.
