@k boy - other thing to think about could be form drills. there's lots of skipping, hoping, bouncing, striding, lunging, bounding, and even mincing that when done whilst focusing on correct posture can help you to become a better runner...

Personally I always find I can run further, if I've been doing a decent amount of stability training (stomache and lower back stuff).
