Highlight of the ride was the train home; thanks for the beer and champagne. I needed it.
My experiment with nobly tyres for TNRC has concluded: It's fucking hard work. Especially on routes with long climbs. Previous experiments on routes with shorter, sharper climbs were much more successful.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a bit of pain when on the bike. But not like that.
