Often due to uneven bolt torque i.e. installation error.
Yup... Balls... :[

Oh look I'm riding beside 6pt wonder what the next exercise is? 2 up pursuit? fuuuuuuu......
I was loving the 2 up pursuit stuff.
good exercise. -

you didn't even enter the regent!
I didn't have a lock or any cash and I didn't really want the bar staff seeing me in lycra... It's my local after all... ;]

I did the induction and the beginner session today, very enjoyable, especially at the end of the session where there were about 6 of us (including Spaghettihoops if I'm not mistaken) working well as a group. It was windy and yo-yoed a bit in the single file stuff but that didn't spoil my enjoyment at all. Nice to finally get my Rourke on the track 2 years after I bought it!

• #1258

Cry of "sexy boy" when she saw sumo in lycra, too

• #1262
that's a natural reaction.

• #1263
shut it TS :)
I am weak and I need all the powerful strong men to help me stay with the F bunchthat was funny wasn't it? tom
-
• #1264
the track panther. I will change my username
-
• #1265
Haha Tika the track panther. Excellent.
(yes it was funny) -
• #1266
I didn't think it was that windy actually... It was difficult to get comfortable out there with all the new inductees around, it's hard for someone like me who isn't a beginner but who also isn't fit/experienced/confident enough to go in with the intermediates... I just wanted to get a few laps under my belt but it wasn't to be today... And my bars are too narrow, I need to go up from 40s to 42s, and steel not aluminium... They are bendy as fuck...
So what is someone who's ridden the track twice in three years if not a beginner? sorry mate [d.creasy] You're a NOVICE![/d.creasy]

Maybe it's worth sticking with the bars you(TS)'ve got, at least till you've had a chance to ride them without a cracked faceplate.
-
• #1268
the face plate would probably explain the flexy feeling. Remember, tighten opposite bolts first.
-
• #1269
funny how vicky P gets on OK with the alloy nittos...
but I guess she's not putting out the awesome wattage that TS is knocking out.also, 40cm is not too narrow. I use 38cm and weigh twice as much as Joe and have wider shoulders. bigfuckinman
sounds like Joe need some help, a bike fit and an induction then a few slaps with a wet trout should liven him up!

Stop picking on the poor old fella.
Fucking ageists.
-
• #1271
But he was wearing several items of Rapha!?!?
Does that not count for ANYTHING??? -
• #1272
He used to be such an individual.
-
• #1273
Yes, coach, but... The 40s felt way too narrow, they didn't feel right at all and I don't care who's riding on 38s this season... And they felt too bendy, that wasn't working for me either... And individuality is bollocks, BMMF, we're all pawns in the man's game... Anyway, onwards and upwards...
#tonguefirmlyincheek -
• #1274
But I didn't enjoy today at all, was stressing about my back before I got on then the beginners session traffic was a bit shit and that stressed me and brought on a massive headache on the way home... I'm a nervous wreck atm... Ho hum...
