Alcohol is legal, yet loads of members of society cant just enjoy alcohol responsibly and in moderation, members of this forum being a prime example.
Id argue members of this forum are a prime example for legalisation. Think of us as functional addicts. We all have unrestricted access to alcohol of a known quality, and consequently we're all able to indulge in our choice of drug as well as contribute (mostly) positively to society. Most of us feel our lives are improved by being able to make those choices for ourselves.
Heroin use if legalised would lead to more drug addicts, spending all of their money on an addictive substance
Being able to spend all our money on addictive substances is our choice in a free society.
