  • Im going to start writing my own Android app next week. Really looking forward to it

  • I would also like this.

An offically supported app for accessing google docs?

  • I'm on a Nexus one, trying to figure out how to keep from being alerted to emails, or at least to have a different tone for sms and email alerts. I've looked but none of the current apps quite solve my problem.

  • You should be able to change that in Settings without a need for another app.
It's possibly a Sense-specific thing but you can change notification sound in Settings>Sounds> Notification sound

  • I would like a widget that opens up my video camera, so I dont have to open the still camera first witch pisses me off every time I want to film something

  • I looked, hippy. it appears both SMS and emails notifications are joined, I can't choose a separate sound for them; the only thing I could do is turn off email notifications but the language it uses is slightly scary.

  • Can you build a spotted app?
It would pick up another forum person within spotting distance (near enough to hear a DAS request) and emit a ringtone/vibrate.
It would collate data of spots across london, a spot density map (like a crime density map)

It would be interesting to find out where the most spots are and how this changes over time. Some bar charts would be good.

    Feasable app?

  • Haha I've just come back to this thread after forgetting about it. Ia lot has changed since I started this thread (I left my job and started out as a freelancer, which gives me the chance to do other stuff).

Loving fox's Ciggie idea but the spotted app is an absolute win for me. Got a couple of other things I want to work on but will come back when I've got time and do some comedy apps :)

  • Is it possible to create a trip app that would record your altitude? and therefore possibly work out angles of ascents/descents? If this hasnt already been done?

  • depends on the device you're on. There is a W3C (the governing body for web standards) standard to collect altitude information (figure and accuracy) in browser. AKA yep.

You'd need to be able to block users who you live with/live near/work with/etc..

  • try

    navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(pos){console.log(pos)});

in developer console and check out the results.

  • DAS app: would be possible using Google Latitude, that way you can block users. But you'd need a google account... oh and it'd drain your batt.

  • And the spotted map generator? Feasable?

  • And the spotted map generator? Feasable?

Would love to know this as well, A friend and I have a genius idea that would use this same feature.

  • Ffs...

Is this available on Android yet?

  • ^ could do, if i get some time soon.

  • Cheers;)
    I'll keep nagging

  • But you didn't.

  • Good bump!

    You're right. I should have.

Imaging the data we'd have from the Spotted App after 6 years...

  • hahaa touche

  • Also stats on DAS requests and if it was obliged or not. Like rep.
