Seriously... Wow.

Reeen
Say hi, hes a good bloke

That was me, I'm guessing - you said "gotta love polo gears" as you went by? Black disc on the front, but the bike is actually stripped (aka, rust).
At least you knew what it was, rather than me just looking like a mental case (as I probably do to almost everyone else on the road). Was on my way to Newington for some polo. Gear's 28/18.
aha, yes, i think i did say something silly like that. I must say, it did look quite amusing with your legs moving so fast and the bike moving so slowly... 28/18 is pretty spinny, yes. I guess it's good for polo.

Very friendly messenger by St Pauls, complimenting my frame and asking if I race. Tried to keep up with you to chat but I am new to fixed and your bike control is too good for me to keep up in traffic. Nice riding mate.
Bearing in mind that I don't know him, would I be correct in guessing based on previous spotted pages that a messenger in denim shorts with a big rolltop bag is either JAMIE or possibly Daisy Duke?
If so, nice to meet you JAMIE. In full answer to your question, yes intend to take my steed to HH but am still feeling a little intimidated by the idea. Was hoping to pop to Souths one night, meet a few forumengers and maybe head down with one or two riders who know the place.

Apologies to the guy with the green (?) frame I passed on the OKR about 15 mins ago. I was the sweaty, stressed-Eric, ginger guy on the Pearson. I don't normally race lights-to-lights like a twat but was running late for the football.
Oh and GSFL!

HA, that was me indeed SH, good to meet you, buddy. Im not a courier, I work in finance for a law firm, nearly as cool though, eh.
Im awaiting my HH build, when its done, Ill give you a shout and ride over with you. You in Deptford?
Your bike is the beez kneez, if you havent already done so, get it on the Names and Faces page, you can update it when you get your Champs jersey then :) Oh and please, tell the others my shorts are knee length, maybe even longer...Thnx.

Nice one JAMIE that would be awesome. Cheers for the bike love. Maybe I'll learn how to ride it one day. I do not do it justice in any way.
Courier bag, fixed skills...i stand by my mistake.
I hear you're a Triathlete...I'm a roadie but I'm trying to get into Tri...having trouble balancing my training as it happens. No matter what I do, transitions pretty much kill me. Do you know Deniz at Blackheath and Bromley? He's helping me with a few tips...
Normally when somebody is wearing hotpants and compliments my frame, they're trying to get in my pants. Just saying.

today, same time same place: poloenger on black bike with blacked out front wheel spinning as fast as his wee legs could go, westwards along Hackney Rd. What was your ratio 20/20 or summat?!!
That was me, I'm guessing - you said "gotta love polo gears" as you went by? Black disc on the front, but the bike is actually stripped (aka, rust).
Would that have been because of the 'wee legs'? ;)
(Unfortunate turn of phrase there, but of course you spotted that, Mark, right?) ;P

He gets that a lot so probably thought it was abuse ;-)

Hello to whoever I DAS'd heading west on Euston Rd by Regents Park about half an hour ago - you had a fair pace, so it was a bit cruel of me to get you to take the edge off.

saw a possible forumenger crossing over the divide (read: see arrow) at around 6:50 tonight. I was pretty lost but I could tell you obviously had a lot of skill on your bike.
Ooh and you had nice shiny handlebars.
Also what does DAS mean? I tried googling it but i think it is Duxford Aviation Society :/
-
• #34500
To be fair to Modest, DAS is a term that is poorly documented. I have trouble describing it to non cyclists.
If it were an entry in the dictionary, what would it be?
No, i meant that i was standing AMONGST them so might get me confused with them that may lead to them lynching me.
