it doesn't compromise the structure of the frame. it might compromise the tire...

Depends on you definition of 'compromise'; in normal service, it isn't going to fail or even make a material difference to the performance, but the same could be said of a straight bridge which would be cheaper to fabricate and half the weight.

please can we ban stupid seat stay bridges :)

Need I even say anything?
ha ha ha! I really like that. Is there a koga under all that?
-
• #43882
the only porn part of that bike is the rear rim.. is that the one that appears to glow blue at the correct speeds?
-
• #43883
i'd worry i'd make a hole in my tier if i put my wheel in too far.
-
• #43884
it would still be a hell of a lot better if it was inverted so that it was sort of shaped around the tyre pointing up. I read somewhere recently that have bridges that aren't straight makes the back end more forgiving... That's not really what you want in a track frame though is it?

They usually have a stroke line around them - sometimes contrasting, sometimes metallic, sometime a similar colour. Looks like it's just badly photographed.
I would do bad, bad things for that bike

No, an Affinity Kissena

New bike base on the original that won the Oregon Manifest Technical Trials, much love;
Now mdcc_tester will be alongside soon explaining why this and that shouldn't work together and are in fact, a poorly though out design.

I'll be in danger of agreeing with him when he does. The lock doesn't solve any problems for the complication it creates in building it or using it. Nice bike though.

I reckon they shouldve stuck some of those flappy gear shifting brake levers on that pereira porteur bike. Also think that baby blue doesnt compliment the black bits very well.
The lock is pointless. A shame there, somewhat of a bizzare epic fail.
Plus steel cages like that are just horrible to use. Shouldve stuck something more modern there or at least more effective foot retention.

I posted this or a very similar bike months back in the anti-porn because of the stupid lock.
I would much prefer the rack to be on the back with that much weight.

exactly what i though. seems a shame.
-
• #43897
Not sure what's a shame about having a bicycle designed for a front rack.
-
• #43898
when you can have it on the rear and not cock up the steering?
-
• #43899
So a bicycle that was made specifically for carrying a front end load, cock up it's steering?
-
• #43900
more so than if it was on the rear.
"Sorry" would be a good place to start.
