Scotland is part of the UK, my point is that in all sports competitions: Champions League and the Euros etc, teams come from each individual country that make up the UK. But if the organisers allocate 10 to the UK, we can only go for that.

Only in certain sports. For cycling, for instance, in Olympics & Worlds, the allocation is taken as GB*.
