  • It's a Dave Quinn track I got blasted and lacquered since my gf's frame was having the same and an extra frame in the oven was only £40. Since lacquering it I fell inlove and put lots of nice bits on.

It's not totally finished cus I still need to make a dual brake lever/work out how I'm braking. Torn between getting brazed on V mounts for the forks and having V front and rear, or just putting another road calliper on the rear. Eitherway I will need to make my own brake bridge.

  • Eitherway I will need to make my own brake bridge.

    That's the easy part.
Dulwich DIY have a load of hinges by the door. There's a triangular shaped piece with a 3 holes in and the one in the middle is just the size. Get an M6 bolt and butterfly nut. Saw off the excess so there's a minimum amount either side of the seat stays, round of any corners and sharp bits. Brake bridge, £1 max.

  • bump. i plan to be there before 7

Quite a few beginners tonight. We might have to do some practice first just like the good old Quorn Rd days.

  • i regretfully just crashed into the back of a cab and my only bike is now rendered useless. if that loaner is going along i am still down to come

  • Sorry peeps, I cannot come tonight, too knackered after duty

  • awesome games tonight people! Everybody's learning so fast it's crazy.

  • Ah that was awesome, thanks guys.
3 complete beginners, 1 who's played 3 times (not so sure!) and 1 whom came the last time. I was expecting some really slow games tonight but after half hour of practicing, we had some really good nice games.
Well done everyone, hope to see you next week.

    Citygent your bike is awesome.

  • aghhh sooo addictive.....once you score you want more innit ;)

lovely to meet everyone, thanks for all your patience & tips! keep a look out for tiny frames for tiny me!

And thanks to Brendan (i think?) for the spare mallet parts, i'll fix it up good :)

indeed. hope your knees didn't melt spinning home in that gear.

flipmode, hope you sort a bike out soon, it's no fun being a ped/tubenger

  • Thank you very much!!!It is been very funny yesterday!!
I'm sorry Winksie...I have still your elbowpads!!

  • Yes It's sure.Promise!

  • I'm sorry Winksie

    actual lolz.

  • I'm sorry Winksie...I have still your elbowpads!!

No worries, I'll get them soon.

  • :)

  • We have two spare loaner bikes for borrowing now..One right handed and one with two brake levers on still?

Any need? I can't bring them both down, but anyone can come get them and return them?

  • Hey guys,
    That's awesome, thanks very much.

    What size are they?

  • One's an old ladies mountain bike, freewheel with a new rear brake (needs adjusting SLIGHTLY), the other is a blokes small mountain bike, again single speed dirty conversion, with two brakes so could work for a lefty?

Collect from W8 5HN if needed? Just pop them back after (or whenever)

  • We need to know sizes if possible matey. We have a couple of people looking and unfortunately size matters.
    Even roughly?
Little white bike is after 48cm I believe, and Flip, you still need?

  • I saw Heythrop's ladies converted SS MTB, pretty small and would be good for a loaner. Not too sure how the drivetrain and gear ratios are but IIRC the outer chainring is not carrying the chain and hence some DIY for safety needs to be done? I do have a pair of V-brakes up for spare soon hence more than willing to pass it on.

  • Yes It's sure.Promise!

ha! we're kidding. you obviously have good bike skills. makes it look like you've played more polo.

  • Yeah, ideally it needs a cover for the cassette and a new brake lever, but other than that it's pretty sorted (plus bashguard for the chain ring..)
