30 days of night wasn't too bad - kinda reminded me of John Carpenters The Thing in places
Has anyone seen the Mark Gattis series on BBC 4 on Horror? Worth checking on iPlayer
It certainly owes a lot to the Thing. I really rated 30 Days of Night. It's a punchy, consise, taught little number and the acting / script is straight faced enough to stop the genre play from becoming unoriginal and pastiche.
While we're in that territory (albeit a little less grown up) I thought the remake of the Crazies was good fun.
