They were unique, back in the mid 1980s when they were a popular choice for testers. Not only are the pads unlike anything else, and fixed to the arms by an eccentric adjuster which means substituting something more modern needs a bit of ingenuity, but the reach was so short that you pretty much had to have your frame custom built to accept them, and putting a normal 39mm 'short' reach brake in their place sometimes requires filing of the top of the pad adjuster slots on the new brake to get the pad high enough.
Yellow Jersey are listing the pads as in stock at $50/pr

Their web presence is probably best described as retro like their stock, but if you phone them you're likely to be able to talk to somebody who has a clue, another retro feature :-)I have these on a bike and need to find brake pads to fit them to use on carbon rims! Since you have a lot of knowledge do you know of anything or is it as per you post on the shimano pads?

As you can see that even standard pads for that are quite rare. I suspect you're only option would be to get some holders and carbon pads, just make sure the holders have the noodle on the back to locate into the adjuster.

48-15, 48-13 was too hard to get to my house at the top of a very big hill!
48x15 is still pretty mean! I was riding 48x16 but i was fed up of walking up the bigger hills so now im on 48x17.
You up for a ride saturday?

I haven't found many routes that can't be navigated in Brighton, sometimes I might have to go a slightly longer route, but thats cool.
Yeah I could definitely be up for a ride on Saturday. Maybe make a thread, for Brighton. I think there is a rides one...

New ride, frame is unknown with what looks like powder coat on.
Velo Orange cranks, PBP / Origin 8 wheelset. nitto pearl stem/ b 83 seatpost. Strange Rolls seat, but feels great.
Rides very well and will eventually upgrade to suntour cranks.

here is an update on my dolan so far. Im still deciding on what seatpost, saddle, bars and tyres to go for.
Any suggestions for some fairly narrow track drops at not an unreasonable price?
