Loving the bike room! Interesting choice to put the MTB at the top though. You must have big guns.

I did think because of the weight of it, it would be best to have the MTB on the ground, but it gets used the least and has the widest bars so it's more convenient to have it out of the way up there at the top. Luckily I'm tall so it's not too much trouble getting it up there.

Just the saddle angle is a lil off, rest looks fine...
Haha, he's referring to another messageboard. Nowt wrong with the seat angle, could do with being moved back a little but I prefer my weight more oriented over the front.
i had the power grips for a few days, comfy but every time i went to skid my foot would twist and it was quite painfull, still prefer my clips mks touring, double straps and large clips for comfort and skidz!
Really? I find them comfortable and skidding feels fine. Wouldn't mind proper clips and straps but they're an unnecessary expense right now.
Why would your foot twist? Unless the power grips are not adjusted properly?
Federal: Nice job on the bike. Still thinking of swapping the chainring for a black one?
Thanks man. Maybe yeah, the Gebhardt is fine for the moment though and goes with the bare alu of the bars. Sometime down the line I'll probably pick one up.

Tenderloin
Bike looks sick but how do you find riding in Brighton with no front brake, do you ride daily? Also what gearing are you running on this?

Some last minute preparations for my trip to Manchester on Wednesday. If anyone want's to se me get humiliated on the track by the big man himself Graeme Obree you are more then welcome to come the velodrome. We will probably do some 4000m racing on strange homebuilt bikes.

Almost finished building this MKM for my girlfriend, I just have to finish rebuilding the rear campag/mavic wheel that matches the front one. The GF is complaining I'm riding it too much to test it out.

Sandancer - nice work on the spare room.
Tbh though, the Look set up is a bit odd. Bar angle looks bit weird and did you drill the bridge for a rear brake? I can't believe that Look would drill a track frame

I thought the bars were set up with the drops parallel to the ground...it was only when I saw that photo that I noticed they're at an angle. I'll probably straighten them up at some point, though they're perfectly comfortable as they are. As mentioned in the porn thread, I may swap them for more traditionally road shaped bars if I find a good deal on some Pro Vibes.
As for the frame, get believing :) Came from Look with the rear and the fork both drilled. I don't know which threads exactly, but it's been discussed several times before and I've posted pictures. There is a track and "fixie" (their model name) version. Both seem to have drilled forks, the fixie version may have either a fully drilled rear, a pilot hole or a hole in the wrong direction (parallel to the seat stays. Seems to be pot luck which you get.

I've fitted a new fork so I can run a brake, I believe it's an old TT fork so the rake is reasonably similar to the original:
Only just enough clearance for the ultra short reach Modolo TT caliper but I think it's a pretty elegant solution.
Still need to buy a new headset and BB, respray and remove those horrible stickers from the rims.

V Nice dude! :)
So tight though - you not worried about fork flex?
@ Sandancer - wow - those crazy French bastards!

I can't decide whether I prefer it in white bar tape or black
White for me.
Awesome room set up as well.
The cages are flat - i.e., unlike the track pedals, they don't have anything you can catch with your foot to flick them up.
