I hope not. I expect thebank holiday had something to do with lower numbers. Like we were saying on Sat, it feels like a funny time of year; seasons coming to an end and motivation to train hard isnt really there for me. But def wnast to try and keep coming down for as long as possible, to keep of the autumn lard attack if nothing else.

Brilliant this week, sprint group outnumbered endurance group by 7 to 3!
I can see this being the last/penultimate week though unless we get higher numbers.
Does that mean there was very little actual riding then and much changing of sprockets? ;)

Quite tired after training today, maybe not as tired as Miles who did a kilo at the end of the session and nearly killed himself.
sprinters: 6
endurance riders: 1That's the end of sunday training till next year! need to start getting some of the saturday people to turn up on sundays instead of bulging out the (already very busy) saturday sessions

I must get myself to two of the omniums before the season finishes completely. Not been to the track for about 3 weeks and already miss it, but I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment

Not for me. Doctors orders. Not allowed to put any torque through my back for a good few weeks yet.
Only commuting on a very low gear and swimming for me.
This season will be a write-off. Well the early part anyway. -

Im so unfit, I can only just squeeze into my kit. Its incredible how much weight you put on having a baby.
Shame you wont be down for a while Mike. I cant wait. -

Yeah it has really pissed me off.
The ironic thing is, I am actually feeling really fit. Have pretty much stopped drinking altogether and have maintained a slim size over winter. But I have a bulging disc at L5 that really needs to recover before I can start doing strengthening exercises before I can start serious training again. I hope to be back racing late in the year. Depending on how it goes, I certainly hope to get down to HH but I don't want to cause anymore damage. Patience is the key really -

I thought it was the woman who was supposed to put on the weight :)
What have you been doing then? -

Yeah thats what I thought. Some call it sympathy pregnancy....
Just havent had too much time to get out on the bike. Been trying to do some rowing and spin bikes at the gym at lunch time, but its nothing like actually riding a real bike.
Back sounds painful, but yeah, life gets in the way of riding sometimes! Patience is indeed key. -

Should I be changing the thread title (or getting it changed) to remove last year's date, or will someone be starting a 2011 thread; or does no-one give a shit?
