why not put together the cheapest single speed basket bike you can? Find a old ten speed at some pawn shop. find some three speed bars. find a decent single speed rear wheel. your done. It's not impossible to get a bike together for nearly free. you already have the basket. and because the basket attaches to the hub directly, you can use almost any bike you can find; neither strength, nor mounting systems are a concern.
yeah you're absolutely right, but why make the predictable and waste time on something someone else already has done.
I enjoy building the bike as much as riding it, so why not have some originality and experiment. I'd rather ride a frankenstein creation that is shite and built how **I **want it rather than the perfect bike that has been assembled from someone elses opinions.
