Kindle is excellent. My girlfriend bought me one for my birthday... after many not so subtle hints. But it is truly a very good thing. Being somewhat transient and not wanting to accumulate loads of books it means I read more books again, without filling up my tiny bookshelf.
The book pricing is a bit hard to swallow, but at least you can sample books in your own time before you buy and hopefully it means Authors still get a decent cut. And the 3g connection is a brilliant inclusion, I would go as far as saying it's 'killer' feature.
