The weather plays a part too remember. I played with MKE in the summer and all of them ended up a little bent in the warm. Gary's i have only played in the winter so maybe i think they are stiffer for this reason?

Not sure exactly how aluminium behaves with respect to temperature, but generally you would expect it to be more brittle the colder it gets, more pliable when warmer.

I would be surprised if +/- 20 C made a big difference, but perhaps there is something in that.
