• Yeah people ref different but each ref should lay down some guidelines before the game.
Like lifting mallets and where they stand on the matter.
It helps the players too as I certainly don't want to be punished and sitting out for a penalty when I've taken a keepers mallet as part of a tactical play which I thought fair.
If I know a ref is not gonna put up with it I won't risk it.

It's one thing attempting fair play and taking care of your own playing game but useful to know where the ref stands on some things.

It's up to them to cool the game down where they see appropriate and prevent things recurring that are dangerous or unfair, whatever the players think or say.

I thought yesterdays game was great. There was equal faults and battling and the ref chose to let the game continue. I would've too. I didn't hear any warning called which might have been useful however.

I just struggle with the game being called dirty by the ref afterwards if nothing was actually said at the time and no calls or warnings were made by them.
That means they saw a dirty game and let it be that way which is wrong.
