Ride straight and fast. I rode to work everyday last year when it was snowing. Only time i slipped was when i stopped at some lights right on a patch of black ice. Took fuckin ages to stamd up with rlthe bike. Would have been funny as fuck to watch.

Yeah, I was aware it was a bit slippery, shoulda stuck to the main road but for some reason decided to shortcut around carrow road. Kept it straight, turned carefully and only slightly, next thing was on my arse.

I rode all last winter too, and didn't come off. Was on wider slickish mtb tyres though.

Nice. When leaving my mate Pats the other night thought id cut through Bowthorpe backstreets instead of sticking to the main road. That was a bit hairy. Though the ice was visible the random chav/ staffie combos werent forcing me to erratically hit and hope over the ice. Urrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!

This country is feeling brakeless fixed gear bikes in a big way, but not really through choice I don't think. Most of them have some kind of shop/tea stand attached to the front. Going to borrow a bike from one of the drivers at the house today and cruise about town, they all have bar brakes and moustache bars, they look excellent.

Today I overhauled my MKS Sylvan Pedals. They were really clicking badly. A big tub of white spirit for an overnight soak, then clean up and regrease. Super smooth now. Chuffed.
