Fahgettaboudit Lock Holder

im a tuck the u-lock under my belt kinda guy. for those that use fabric horses and the alike, what advantage does that have over my current practise?

was there ever been a problem with the d-lock near the kidney?

no not really, but there it's definitely better to not have the lock near your kidneys if your worried about them.

someone on this forum suffered a bruised kidney from a U-lock once.

But anyway, where's your sense of humour ed ? and why do u feel you need to challenge everything i say. I'm beginning to think its personal.

well, quicker easier and smoother access, especially with a Fah Mini as they're quite tight and would be a strain on my hips.

sorry it was not meant to be an argument, it's honestly a discussion about the pro and cons, I was curious about the motivation, the solution, the cost, etc. basically being realistic really (my missus hate it when I'm always being realistic about everything!).

It wasn't my intention to sound like I challenge everyone's idea, but merely discuss them to the point of influencing new idea, solution, etc. after all, there are almost no limit to ideas.

Turns out I actually fu*ked up the silicone part, but rather than do it again I just wedged some gaffer tape in there - seems to have done the trick..

yeh you only need a dab of silicone in the small hole right at the end, and use a bic biro to mush it around a bit and leave it to dry without the lock in place.

i might be missing something achingly obvious but i carry a messenger bag basically every time i go on my bike, could i attach some kind of loops to the flap to attach either side of the u part of the lock to?

yep pretty easily. just get some webbing and think about placement.

i would probably put it smack bang in the middle facing sideways?
