I pulled the post bike out of a skip at the Thorpe Road RM depot in May 2009. There were dozens in there, the dude said I could take what I wanted. I love hoarding scrap but am not likely to make use of it.

After a few things to keep my bike (and me) alive for a bit longer:

700c wheelset with 7-8 speed shimano HG compatible hub. Would prefer narrow rims.
21 speed gear shifters, without brake levers and not revoshift.
Red 700c tyres 23-32mm.

Surface shorts, black, worn twice for about 10 miles total, they're just too big for me. Size 'M' is actually 34", it says inside the shorts but I noticed too late.

£25. Need money to buy another pair that fit.

How big is the M?

It's a compact frame, supposedly equivalent to 54cm. I'm 5' 7" and it's slightly too big for me, but not unrideably so. It would probably best suit someone 5'9 - 5'11.

Where abouts in Norwich are you?

Newbie here. If any of that old scrap is still going (but it's still usable) I volunteer at a charity that uses bike refurbishment/maintenance as a therapy for socially vunerable people and others. We're always on the look out old but usable kit - most of what wee get is the usual cheap Argos MTB stuff.

If you have anything like that - which you were thinking of freegling - then let me know.

Still looking for a 7 speed wheelset :). Something that won't collapse under a 85-90kg rider.
