I find unless it's someone on srs runners bsns (aka a grumpy bastard) that most runners even if not openly friendly are typically understanding/welcoming of beginners. there's not the great divide you have between nodders/roadies/fakengers... etc
although runners who travel two abreast and take up the whole path for their power
talkswalks and remain oblivious to people trying to pass can raise other peoples ire quite quickly.
