Other than rummaging through a parts bin of ancient italian bbs, the phil is pretty much your only option.
I'll have a look in t'workshop for you tomorrow. Will pm if anything shows up.
Axle length would be handy...

Nope, we dont't have one.
Looks like you need a phil.

Can we add french BB's? I had a bit of trouble finding one when my Gitane arrived early last year.
Sealed one : http://www.velo-orange.com/grcrufrthbob.html
Unsealed (and cheaper, about £25) stronglight ones available from Bicycle Workshop - 27 All Saints Road - 02072294850 -

I didn't even realise that French bottom bracket threading/sizing is different. I shall see what I can do.
Good call btw.

I've just had a bit of a pain sourcing a 103mm JIS BB on the cheap side. Evans no longer stock that awesome value Token jobby, but VeloSolo will have them again very soon.
I ended up buying the Tange from VeloSolo for 18.95, worth putting on the list I think as it is very good value, and apparently remarkably similar to the Sugino. Says out of stock but they're back in tomorrow, along with some of the others.

You could have sourced the RPM 103mm bb from ProBikeKit, but though the prices are similar, I think the Tange looks of slightly better quality. It appears that you bought the last one.
I won't add a special mention for 103mm BBs. I think Langsters use that fitting, so there will always be several sources to get it from. But if more people ask, then I will certainly consider re-arranging the list, to provide that extra info. Italian-Solutions also had the Sugino 103mm.

Most places seemed to be out of the 103mm, including the RPM, and the important part was cheapness.
But yeah, Velosolo are back in stock of those Tange BBs tomorrow (I checked), I just thought they were nice for the price. Really wanted that Token carbon BB that you have listed in medium quality, back in stock at velosolo soon. In any case, evans don't do them anymore.

there are quite a few of those token Carbon BB's on ebay, and wiggle are to have some soon aswell.
have a 102mm doing quite well on my bike atm -

Yeah, in Taiwan :p

No mention of the sugino 103 quality and or longevity.
Any experience as it seems to be the smallest you can buy. Also being sold by condor without crank bolts for £16.99 and was the shortest they had.

Sugino, for those very, very, very late in the game.......are an excellent brand.
Years ago they were major competitors to Shimano. Their stuff is good. Buy with confidence.
For those bothering to read this totally unnecessary answer....Sugino also produce some quality track stuff.

The sealing in the cartridge bearings of my Token Tiramic BB, has proven itself of late. I only bought the BB out of bike nerd-ism. But it actually performs.
Just sayin.

So people experience of the sugino sealed bearing 103 bottom bracket? How long did it last? what sort of abuse.
I fully understand that sugino have been round a while and produce many models of BB. An example is shimano's un26 which from experience aint that good.

Your answer is here (though it does disagree with my recommendation):

SKF was a good call for ISO/Italian cups option
Oh, as far as Campagnolo go, why Centaur and Record, when there's CHORUS.
i.e. trickle down Record.I think Chorus is the best performance vs $$$ in a sealed ISO.
As far as the grease/syringe question, I believe it was Suntour that had something called "greaseguard" which may have had that. But yeah, there were some hubs and BB that you could inject grease into.
I think the term was "port" so you can use that to cross-ref your googling :) -

Remember that Royce often require special tools for fitting and adjusting. They sell them also.
So the already hefty price, still rises. You can't safely use normal tools, otherwise it will strip your Royce.
Its happened to one guy on here. That said, its quality that lasts. I don't think there is anything better, anywhere. -

Sugino 103 - One spindle snapped, the replacement the bearings are now running quite rough. Less than 1500 miles each time.

What is the story with Campy Record Track BB?
Spoke to a mechanic today at Mercian and he said that the net w units are sealed. Anybody can confirm this? -
• #75
Doesn't appear to be sealed. See Page 17 in the first link below.

I hereby challenge you, this thread and all occupants, to find a bottom bracket that has 26tpi threads and doesn't cost an absolute fortune. It appears that the only 26tpi bb I can find it a Phil which I really can't afford and wouldn't want to spend that much for. It's the old Raleigh size threading and it's causing me grief. I know there are other options like re-cutting the thread, or putting in a threadless bb, or putting a new shim in and having it threaded to the right size. There is even the option of having a new bb shell welded in for less than the cost of a Phil bb!
Anyone got any ideas? Oh, and the bb shell is 70mm wide.
