The Bianchi indeed! And the nice person gave me a bag of levers and brakes. Having a look around, I'm guessing the horseshoe shaped thing on the back of your bike was an adaptor for the brakes to fit 700s?
It'll probably take me a few weeks to get the rest of the bits and to put it together, and probably start with fixed and one brake until I get the double-lever and a freewheel...

The polo upgrades thread is handy, but if you want some tips, then most people have:
freewheel
gi's around the 40's,
V brakes
a double lever if you can work it out, rear brake is fine if not
A bash guard is handy but make sure you don't have any exposed chainrings
Risers with plugged ends
wheel disks unless you're hand with a spoke key.
